2001, the beginning of the Pneus Online odyssey

Passionate motorsport fan, Alexis Nerguisian, an I.T. consultant in the banking sector, went on the circuit for the first time, to do a few laps as a driver. After a day of fast driving, full of strong sensations, the unavoidable conclusion was that his tyres were finished. Clearly, in order not to abandon his new passion, he had the choice between driving gently or finding a means of paying less for his tyres. After much investigation, he still couldn’t find an ideal solution. Then he had an idea… What if savings could be made by buying tyres on Internet?

Many obstacles remained to be overcome

There was still a long way to go, from the idea to reality... Especially as, at the time, the context wasn’t really favourable. In 2001, Internet companies were going through a crisis, and not many people believed in Alexis’s project. Some even said he would run off the track… However, for him, there was no question of stopping the adventure. Even if the road was full of traps and problems, he went straight ahead.

Always ahead of its time, Pneus Online is the first site in Europe to offer customers a tyre guarantee. Pneus Online has also set up a hotline, accessible Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 8 pm, and a dedicated email address for the trade, to answer all their questions. Our latest innovation is our mobile fitting service, so that your tyres can be fitted directly at home or at your place of work.

#5 : our mobile fitting centres, a turnkey solution

In 2018, Pneus Online launched its first mobile fitting truck in Lyon. A real turnkey solution for customers, and their enthusiastic reception allowed the project to be quickly exported to Paris, followed by Geneva and Lausanne in Switzerland, and then Bordeaux and Cannes, with the ambition to continue this development in other cities and other countries.
